Sports League Information (Grades 4th - 6th):

Paradise Honors Middle School has started a partnership with Charter Athletics Association to extend  the ASA Junior Panthers program into a mini sports league offering FOUR activities starting this year!   The After-School Academy Sports League  - Junior Panthers operates on skill development philosophy with even amount of playing time or participation in competitions.  The main goal is to increase interest and participation in healthy activities, encourage more student participation in after school activities, develop skills and connection with their schools.   It's all about helping to prepare our student athletes for involvement in middle school athletics, leadership roles, time management and maintain academics. Transportation to games is not provided by Paradise Schools.

Fall          Coed Flag Football & Volleyball (September – November)

Winter     Boys Basketball(November - January) / Girls Basketball (January- March)  


Spring    Coed Soccer (March - April)

Fee:        $45.00 (includes only ONE reversible jersey per participant)

Cheer Programs Information (Grades 4th - 8th):

ASA Junior Panther (6th-8th grades) and Rising Star (4th-5th grades) Cheer are After-School Academy programs for girls in 4th - 8th grades. This after-school academy program strives to teach the student athletes all the basic techniques of cheerleading and dancing.  ASA Junior Panthers and Rising Stars programs goal is to provide our athletes a strong foundation to develop techniques and learn new skills needed to advance onto our PHMS Panthers Cheer programs. 

Our cheerleading programs will teach our student athletes basic jumps, students, tumbles and cheerleading terminology.  Along with all the hard work and dedication to learn each facet, the student athletes prepare a performance to showcase at our athletic events.  Showcase performance are based on game schedule availability.  Transportation to games is not provided by Paradise Schools.

Days:      Rising Stars (3:00-4:00 p.m. - Tuesdays) / Junior Cheer (3:30-5:00 p.m. - Mondays & Wednesdays)


Sessions I, II, & III - 5 Weeks

After-School Academy Sports League - Junior Panthers

·      Only offered to 4th and 6th grade student athletes.

·      Paradise Honors Elementary / Middle School will compete against Charter Athletics Association (CAA) sports league teams.

·      CAA will provide the scheduling of game officials for the Flag Football, Basketball, Volleyball and Soccer programs. 

Structured league play

           - 8 weeks of league play plus 1 week dedicated for skills development.

     - Participate in 5-6 games during league play.

     - Team 
selection based on coach's discretion.  First-come, First-served on registration until program is FULL!

      - Skills Developments held for 1.5 hours at the beginning of each program offered.

           - Games are scheduled on Mondays or Wednesdays.  Times based on schedule (TBD).

      - 
Student athletes are expected to be fully committed to their school’s sport league teams.

All about opportunities

Paradise Schools will NOT provide transportation.  

·    Student athletes are responsible to provide their own transportation to ALL off campus games.

Student Accountability

·  ·  Students must have a passing grade of “C-“ or above in all subjects and must be in good stand with their school.

·    Students are also NOT ALLOWED in the ASA Junior Panthers programs while participating in the same in-season athletic program .

League Coaches Volunteers Needed

     Parent(s) volunteers will serve as coaches.  Fingerprint clearance and applications must receive clearance from league directors.

·    Please fill out a parent(s) volunteer application form when registering student.

·    Coaches meeting will be held shortly following the skills clinic to review rules and structure of league.
